For me.. i run, not to lose weight, not for the love of running, honestly i don’t really like it, for me, its not about what people think, for me, i run to discipline, i run to push myself, i run to kick my own ass, running isn’t my sport, lacrosse is. I run to gain a sense of peace in my mind, while i run i think about lacrosse, how much i need to push myself, is it worth it? For that jersey? For the extra minute of playing time? It’s always worth it. So, running, sure, i might gain the muscles, i might impress some people, but thats not why i do it, its for me, if i can play, if i believe in myself, i can do anything.
I can’t promise to never drop a pass, i can’t promise that every shot i take will result in a goal, i can’t promise to never make mistakes, but i can promise to push myself harder than ever before, i can promise to hustle and out run everyone else on that field, i can promise to lay everything i am on that field. Live it, breathe it, love it, dream it. Lacrosse.
So if you live, in or around boston, or are in drivable distance to Andover, Mass..you should definitely register to run this race… http://kritkearinsclassic.com/ Its for a good cause, you can read all about it on the website..its only a 5K, and you should totally look into it. Thank you! and please tell your friends!! :)
“The greatest battle is not physical but psychological. The demons telling us to give up when we push ourselves to the limit can never be silenced for good. They must always be answered by the quiet, the steady dignity that simply refuses to give in. Courage. We all suffer. Keep going.”—Graeme Fife (via heartmindspirit)
